Prayers To Encourage Your Soul

Are you in need of prayer? Do you have a special prayer request?

Prayer Request

Sunday, June 15, 2025

Dear God, today we pray for fathers. May they be blessed and celebrated just as they should be on this day. Thank You for fathers who fulfill Your plans and do their best to raise good, God-fearing children. Thank You for fathers who have given of themselves and made sacrifices for their families. Thank You for fathers who did not run away when pressures mounted. Thank You for fathers who set a godly and Christlike example for their children. Thank You for fathers who have not been abusive, overly critical, or emotionally distant. Thank You for fathers whose heart's desire is to serve and please You even in their parenting. May they be blessed in their life and all they do. Amen

Lord, I'm not certain, but I could face stresses in my week I did not plan on. I pray, help me in those moments the stresses mount and tensions are high. Help me take a step back and see the events through a discerning eye. Don't let me fall into unhealthy patterns for dealing with stress or return to the things that don't benefit me or others. When I feel stressed out, let me first turn to You and remember You have promised to overcome this world, including the troubles I run into.  Help me to remember You will not let me down and You will never fail me. Help me remember I am precious to You, precious in Your sight and You always have a plan in place to save me and relieve my great burdens. Amen

Dear God, sometimes life can feel like we're in a pressure-cooker. that's not a good feeling to have. I think I pay too much attention to my problems because at times they seem much bigger than You, and I know that's not the proper perspective. Grow my faith, Lord and help me to always look at life--not through rose-colored glasses--but realistically, yet with the knowledge that You are my God and You have always been bigger than any problem, greater than any power. Whenever I'm tempted to let my problems swallow me up speak to my heart of faith and increase my trust in You.

Dear God, for many today is considered "hump-Day". That day they are just trying to make it through the week. that day they set as a measuring stick and wonder if they will make it through their week. Whether Hump-Day, or just plain-old-Wednesday, may I have strength of mind and body to accomplish those things You have placed in my path for today and the days going forward.  May I see no day as common or as being beyond Your plans. May the pressures I face today, the burdens I endure never defeat me. But whether it's Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or beyond, let my heart be full of joy, peace, assurance and hope.  Amen

Lord, thank You for providing a place where I can retreat from the world's chaos and madness. Sometimes I need a place of quiet and peace, a place to think things through without the noise of the world and the pressures from others. Sometimes I need to quiet myself in You so I can receive Your wisdom and guidance. You are my refuge and hope. I praise you, Lord. I continually turn to You and I am rewarded with rest and peace. The rest You provide me and the hours and minutes You carve out for me restore my soul. Thank You, Lord!

Jesus, Your name is enough to heal, enough to stop Satan, enough to make the devil back up, enough to open doors, enough to close doors, enough to bring the arrogant and prideful to humility, enough to cure weariness of soul, and bring peace of mind.  At the name of Jesus every power on earth and below the earth are humbled. Your name is the name above all names and is worthy of praise. Let the name of Jesus be in my heart and on my lips all day. There is no sweeter name to know, call upon, or speak. No other name that can do more than Your great name.

Dear Jesus, I've been running, running, running. Running in all different directions, but I need to run to You now and stay here in Your presence. I am thirsting for You as I have never thirsted before. Fill me up, Lord. Quench my thirsting soul and spirit. When my future looks bleak, when I cannot see beyond my troubles, when I cannot find the light in the midst of darkness, help me to focus on Your light. Let me spirit connect with Yours. Let Your love warm my skin, penetrate my heart, and speak to my soul. Let me stop running and join my spirit with Yours where there is rest and the promise of restoration. Amen
